I was afraid over volting would mess up my RAM, HD and CPU.

minor overvolting shouldn't hurt anything. Some DDR2 actually requires overvolting to work. I had some OCZ memory that had to be set to 2.1v.

I was thinking this could be the case here, a minor bump in the voltage for the RAM could clear your bsod

My RAM is at 1.8v now..

Earlier I was running the FSB at 400 with a 9.5 multiplier and it was pretty stable. Perhaps a little RAM voltage bump would make it rock steady?

What I do is search the interwebs for guides to overclocking your particular motherboard or chipset. There are alot of good guides out there that give great info. As long as you stay on the conservative side, you shouldn't have any problems.
