I'm running a Phenom II X4 965 BE @ 3.7 (just started to OC it, the multi is set to 18.5 which is the highest you can go and still have Cool n' Quiet work) and the MSI 790X-G45 board, which sounds similar to your build.

Runs very well so far, and I'm sure it was a Fry's 'special' based on the sticker on the box. I will try and coax 4 ghz out of it before I'm done.

When you build for someone else, always either make them buy the parts or get them to pay you up front.

he paid $250 deposit... but he didnt say anything about it.. so what do i do with the $250? im an honest guy.. i usually return lost money or find the owner. like in my restaurant customers always forget to take their credit cards with them.. i hold onto them for 1 week before it goes into the shredder. or i try to catch them before they leave..

im just mad that it took my time to research a budget pc/ and ask friends who uses their employee discount to get such amazing discounts and ends up no where..

I would take the $250.00 and invest in some shinny computer part for yourself.

The deposit should only be given back if he can find someone to take the computer for the same price. It is what the price of work you had to do.

If I were you I would bash down his door demand payment for the rig plus interest...and then keep the rig for flaking in the first place

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
