Dont want to rain on anyone's parade but they mentioned something about that card (the 570) having problems with manufacturing or something like that. Maybe just a bad batch. Cant say. I'm gonna do some more research on it.
I read some of the reviews of other brands but they all seemed favorable. But overall I think that there are more EVGA's sold than the others so margin for bad cards increases. I'll wait and see what I can find out.

However if you have them in SLI your first card will run hot because of the second card below it so you'll have to play with the fan speeds to find your optimum temp. Mine doesnt get too hot cause I have the OC HD version of the 570 (bigger fan in the center of the card). My main card runs around 70C under load and the second card uns about 60-65 under load. The highest ive seen the main card go is 75C which still ist too bad. I just turn the fan speed on the main card higher than the second card. But all I can say is that th 570 is a quality card. Maybe some people just got a faulty product with faulty manufacturing.
If someone gets a bad product they will be more likely to tell more people than those that didnt have any problems. Just the way it is.
But..thanks for all the info. I'll keep digging before I pull the trigger. Still have some time yet. I just thought maybe someone had a secret place to get cheap boards. Not everything that counts on the battlefield is countable.

EVGA quality: If you sort all 570s by Newegg's customer ratings, EVGA is listed in 4 of the top 5 positions.
Newegg.com - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards,570
It's reasonable that a few cards will have problems no matter who makes them. It's a probability game. To reduce the chance of future aggravation, I usually go with the best odds.

Like I said earlier, there are probably more EVGA's sold so the margin for error over the coarse of a lot of boards being made and sold goes up. I dont know what the percentage of bad boards was overall but I bet it probably is really low.

They have a poor fan/temp curve, good thing evga precision lets you set your own curve.

CPUID - System & hardware benchmark, monitoring, reporting
This is just a zipped exe really quick and no need to install. Just turn it on and go on gaming, when you come back again it will tell you the current, average and max temps/voltages it went to.
