laptop is slow?

K, so this laptop is under 6 months old... system specs and hijack this log below... i've run AVG on a full scan, spybot on a full scan, and ad-aware on a full scan... NOTHING!, but it's running slow as heck. i'm thinking another gig of ram would help, but so far IDK for sure. Tried running The Sims 2 with quite a few of the expansions on it, then tried to minimize it and bring up firefox... it was slow to do that...like at least 45 seconds to a full minuet to do that.

even after I clean up start-up it still seem bogged down. I'm thinking is the RAM as it keeps bluescreening before I oc'd it a little bit. I think here in a few paychecks i'll go grab 2x1gb of DDR2 800 for it and see if that works.

Is it still under a warranty? If so call them up and complain nicely. Tell them about the slowdown and that you are surprised that a machine like theirs is performing this way.

Don't want to wait the 2-3 weeks it'll take them (minimum) to try to "repair" it. I'd much rather try to fix it myself and say to heck with them. Honestly, she wouldn't even hap a laptop if computer chairs didn't hurt for her to sit in. I'd have built her a desktop instead.
