GTX 570 deal

Newegg has the ZOTAC AMP! ZT-50204-10M GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card in their shell shocker today for $265 after $30 rebate. Seems like a great deal, but I've never dealt with Zotac before. Anyone have any experience with them?

I looked on their website, and if you register the product within 30 days you get a lifetime warranty on the 570 cards. I think i'm going to take a chance and try it out.

I love my gtx 570. My lone complaint is that it sounds like a helicopter taking off when it warms up.

I had a gtx 570 for the past 2 weeks but it was a faulty card, had to get it replaced where I built my pc (that's the only advantage I get for not building my pc at home, I just go to the store and say "IT NO WORK IT NO WORK MAKE IT WORK!" and they repair it/change parts at no fee!)

Dropped it at the store and he didn't have anymore 570 in store, I replaced it for a 570 HD (they sell it 20$ more so I had to pay that though) and it's running very smooth, the fan is not that loud even considering it's on my desktop 1&1/2 feet away from my ear! It won't go over 70 degrees and I setup a nice automatic fan graph so that it never gets too loud but if it EVER gets too hot, it will kick in like my civic's vtec! (fast and strong )

The 570 can easily max bfbc2, and will do the trick for bf3!!

Deal is active as of 1 PM EST. I actually wanted to buy this before I had read about the 6950 Toxic, but I'd give the nod to the Toxic card based on its 2gb RAM and possibility of unlocking.

eh!? Let's just say the fan gives some more juice when needed, the same way a vtec gives you more juice when you need it!

There is one problem with that: the Toxic card is OUT OF STOCK. I went ahead and dropped the hammer and bought the Zotac card.

Just checked Newegg again and it is now sold out.

Zotac have lifetime warranty after registration on their website, only few companies are offering this though.

I know what vtec is. Whats the horsepower on your car?

I figured you knew what it was unfortunately I should've said "a civic's vtec" not "my civic's vtec" I'm a civic fan boy, drove a couple and rode in a couple too, some faster than others, some were crap too! :P

But I do have a civic, it's a 1999, lx 4 sedan, a mere 105hp, pearl teal blue! Love that machine and take good care of it! And it obviously doesn't have a vtec, even though I could do some mods on it!

Sorry for making the thread go astray! There should be an automotive section or something (is there? :P)

But to go back on track I do think that 570 is a good deal.. but I'd read reviews :/

Newegg shows a restock date of Monday for the 6950 Toxic. Guess I will sit there and refresh the page for a few hours and see what happens.

Looks like a good deal. I just got a 560 for $219.99.
