Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone had a spare sound card laying around. I want to test if a sound card would be better suited for me than onboard sound.
I really don't want to spend another 100 bucks on a soundcard if it's not going to make much of a difference.
From the marketing that Turtle Beach sells, I can't believe a damn word they say. Telling me that the headset is so comfortable you won't even know it's on. BS I have a headache right now from wearing those things.
I can't really review the sound because I'm still tweaking with what little settings and options I have. Still looking for the optimal settings to test these things fully.
Point one I would like to make about the Z6a is the fact that it has a quick disconnect feature which is great for when I don't want to find a place to lay my headset down on and I can take it out with me to smoke. The down side is that it's not wireless so I can talk to you guys while I'm outside.
The sound quality on it isn't much better than my Gamecom 777 which I thought would blast away from the hype that Turtle beach had going for their headset.
This headset is one that I would not recommend to anyone. Not even my worst enemy. I want to let you guys know right now that even though it produces somewhat realistic surround sound, the fact that the digital ones do it better doesn't suit the cost of these things. Affordable yes, but the quality is definitely not there.
I haven't tried the logitech G39's yet, but that will most likely be my next headset purchase once these die.
