Firefox not finding latest update

Anybody else with this issue? I'm running v8.0 and when i go into Help > About Firefox it says i have the latest version even though 8.0.1 is out.

Their updates aren't immediate, but it will happen. I suspect they are briefly listening for screams of anguish before pushing it out to every innocent user.

Any idea how long 8.0.1 has been out? I installed FF 8.0.1 on my nieces netbook almost a week ago.

I gave up on Firefox a few months ago. Just too many problems. The last time I even tried to load it, it said it couldnt find the .exe file. So I gave up.
