Ok June this is what I hate about people not from NY..... Its more than just a city!!!!! I live in farm land. We are 30-40mins from the nearest major city and about 8hrs from NYC. Just north of lockport which is just about the smallest group of land to be called a city. The internet we have is the second from the best available but my parents wont pay 50$ a month for 250kb/s vs 100kb/s at 20$ a month

Look, they're a little overweight but calling all the people that aren't in NYC "cows" is just rude!

Sadly enough I worked on a cow farm from the ages of 12-16. Worst job ever shoveling cow dung and moving hay all day long.

              Did you read my post?

I know there is more than NYC, that's why I said "infrastructure in NY state would be top class no matter where you live (depending on town size of course)". And asked if you "lived in the middle of nowhere".

You can get better internet speeds in remote areas of Scotland than you're getting in (what i presume to be) one of the richest states in the US. Which is a surprise to me.

actually I think NJ has the highest tax revenue ... don't want to say richest because we don't get back as much as we pay to the federal goverment.

No its the federal goverment that would be taking away the money not the state. Since the state as a whole loses the money and doesn't get it back.

I feel mean for posting this...

What's funny is that my friends will say "OMG MY INTERWEBS IS BETTER" but I have a faster download rate overall?
I have Comcast and have never had a cap on my download..

Comcast caps the people with slower download speeds. When I had the 1mb connection, after downloads over 1GB it always slowed me down to a halt. Now that I upgraded to 60mb, they don't anymore. Weird on their part.

However, I don't see why your speed matters in a game. All you need is a .5mb connection to play. Nothing too tasking on your internet. It's all those packets that you lose. In cobalt's case, all of them.
