Missing stand offs??

What does the manual say? It should tell you how many standoffs you are supposed to use along with a diagram pointing them out.

I just built my mother a new computer for Christmas and the MSI board only used 6 standoffs.

I went with the green ones, I couldn't find anything in the manual but I googled and it seems to be a common occurrence. The reviews on this board had said that it was an unusual size so maybe that is the reason. So far it has posted and Windows is loading.

Save yourself some stress on the board where those missing standoffs are by inserting your RAM into the board before you mount it in the case. Otherwise, nothing else that gets plugged in on the front of the board will demand much downward force on the board itself.Oh if a man tried to take his time on Earth and prove before he died what one man's life could be worth, well I wonder what would happen to this world ? - Harry Chapin

That Asrock board was pretty sweet for the price, being able to use the mouse in the bios was a nice treat.

if you are worried about the lack of stand offs in the future. get a couple of adhesive backed rubber feet of the right size. then stick them on the motherboard tray so they are just inside the edge of the MoBo. the hard rubber will prevent the phenolic board from flexing and are non-conductive. this was quite common back in the AT spec days. many cases came with bumpers or nylon standoff that fit through the holes on the MoBo.
