    Wireless random drops

Our laptop, whenever it's in the kitchen (router downstairs) gets kicked off the network momentarily... and has to acquire signal again. This happens multiple times per day.

I ran this program to see what other AP's are our there and found this one labeled "HOME" spiking every few seconds. Do you think there is interference from this router? It's probably my neighbor's located less than 100 ft away. It also shares the same channel as ours (buttercupagain).

Also I theorized it could be the antenna in the laptop... we've had the thing for only 3 years.

    Any ideas?

They are running on the same channel so its a possibility. Try changing your router's channel to one that your neighbors aren't using. I'm not a wireless expert but something similar happened to me and changing my routers channel resolved it for me.

I went to manual select ch3 for the time being. I'll report back on whether it had any effect or not.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
