X BOX question?

I'm Getting Mini a Xbox for xmass. Several other parents are getting their kids one to so they can all play live together. I was wondering what I needed to order to set him up with this. I know there is the basic box but I was wondering if there were things needed to enable the LIVE function.

You do not need anything. The new black xbox comes with wifi support (as opposed to the old white ones). The LIVE function does cost around $50 per year which is easy to set up. Everything will pop up on the "dahboard" aka home screen and you can follow the instructions easily.

You can also set it up with Netflix, HBO Go, Youtube. Mine gets way more use as a portal than as a gaming system.

DO NOT GIVE THEM A CC #!! When wanting to use a gold membership for live just buy the prepaid Card...if youi give them a CC, it is nearly impossible for them to stop charging you if you ever want to cancel. if you enter your card info from the machine, there is no way of removing it w/o having to argue for weeks.

Be careful buying prepaid cards from stores other than the issuer. Some of them charge extra. One store here was charging $25.00 extra for Visa Gift Cards.
