    Questions about water cooling.

I want to water cool my next build (though I haven't figured what parts to use), but I know little about water cooling. I know the basics, like the parts I need. I also know what type of liquids I need. Like if I go with water, I need anti algae chemicals and stuff, but I was thinking about going with some non conductive liquids. However, I tend to keep my computer on 24/7, 365. Seriously, the last time I turned this computer off was about 2 months ago.

How often would I need to change the liquids by leaving the computer on non-stop? How do I change the materials? Anyone with watercooled systems have some dependable reading material?

All liquid becomes conductive iirc. Or at least that's something I read not too long ago. Have you thought about taking baby steps and buy one of the all in one CPU coolers?

Juneau is correct. My Laser Welder uses deionized water for cooling. It is non conductive. The water circulates through a deionizing filter that has to be changed at least once a year. The filter costs me over $300.00 every time I change it. The laser lamp is submerged in the deionized water for cooling. The chamber is gold plated and highly reflective. If you do not change the filter enough the water will become ionized and the arcing will damage the chamber. This will cost you a minimum of $1,200.00 for the parts. If you can not replace the part yourself and have to have a tech come out from Massachusetts it can run your thousands of dollars.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
