From the looks of it, there isn't much to salvage out those core parts other than possibly using it as a media PC. The ram and video card are outdated now. BF4 would chew it up. Ask Cain, he also had an 8800. I still have one lying around in my spare computer parts. Great card at the time but was very short lived as the next generation were about 20-25% better.

Seriously consider a minimal build using existing parts like case, psu, keyboard, mouse, monitor, etc. It really is the only way to survive when it comes to PC gaming, which is significantly more expensive than consoles etc.

Yeah exactly just need cpu, mb, and graphics card.
I got black cavier 1 and 2tb drives, a 850w psu sli and xfire ready.
The case itself is older than the pc you could say, but its not that old that its useless.
Psu is top mounted, and its full atx and some in size.
Plenty of room in it air wise, how it flows can be debated....

My pci xfi extreme music for a X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty
Reason being my friend does not have a pciex1 just legacy pci
So that helps improve my upgrade path some.
