Looking for old computer (just tower/laptop)

Hey guys, my very old (10 years weee!) AMD died and I'm looking to buy a real low cost one - anyone have one they want to give away for free (or a little bit of moola)? I'll pay shipping of course.

Needs to have ethernet but I can swap my optical drive in so don't worry about that (unless your mobo is sata them I'm screwed). I don't need sound or graphics (just VGA out). I have an OS already. I don't need any peripherals either.

I had one but I gave it away a few years ago. Laptops would work too actually!

Like I said real basic is fine it will only run browser, adobe reader, just a real simple office PC connected to my main via Synergy+

I have a pile of parts downstairs in my basement, I think there is and old core2duo in there somewhere, it's pink though. I get a great deal on FedEx so I can ship stuff real cheap. It will have to wait until the end of the months though, I get back form the trip late Sunday and leave Thursday AM so I will be busy cooking and stuff. I will also have to as my stepdaughter if she has any attachment to it as I made it for her years ago and also make sure it's all together.

I ended up going Extended Desktop. I still prefer two pc's + synergy though.

Just pulled apart my old C2D yesterday. Think the shipping would have been expensive though if I'd go tto this thread when you needed parts.

Crap, I totally forgot about this, I looked at the machine and its missing the memory which is laying around somewhere, Ill get to it when I get home in two days.
