e2180 Core 2 Duo for $49 after rebate

TigerDirect has the OEM e2180 Allendale core C2D chip (2.0 ghz, 1mb cache, 800mhz FSB) for $69 with a $20 MIR (past TD rebates were sketchy, this one's going to RebateZone which is considered very fast and reliable).

Follow this long link (Google Checkout) for the final price of $49:

    http://slickdeals.net/?sduid=69693&t...CkQcCHLODb_lqQ

These chips with a 10x multi will easily do 3.0ghz using stock cooling !!! I'm in for one.

THAT is an excellent deal. WOW.... My friend is gonna be pissed. He just bought a similar system and paid about 800 for it.

Here's another nice deal for the techie type who like this kind of gadgetry.

          http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...?EdpNo=3298386

I installed this unit for a customer and they paid just over 100 dollars for it. On that page the top review says that the esata ports didnt work on both the units that guy had, but they worked fine on the one I installed.

XFX 8800GS Alpha Dog for $149

            http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc..._-NA-_-NA-_-NA

Newegg has the XFX 8800GS 384mb PCIe video card for $159 with a $10 off coupon code of "videocard010" (without the quotes) to get the price down to $149.99 shipped.

This card should only be about 20-25% slower than the full-blown 8800 GT, which makes it a very good deal at that price. XFX also covers it with a "double lifetime" warranty that applies even to overclocked and second-hand cards.

Microcenter currently has the Intel C2Q Q9450 "Yorkfield"s in stock, and they are one sale! (OEM part)

                        $299 online

                        www.microcenter.com - front page link

$299 ain't a bad price, especially for such a hard to find processor. Honestly I'm really tempted to drive over there and pick one up.

These are some tiny little computers, but for general purposes and the price, .... they'd make a decent little machine for kids.. just keep the dust blown out of them.
