? Labor for building and troubleshooting -- 100 hrs at $50/hr - $5,000.
100 hours.....really.....
I guess they have to "test" all the software to make sure it works correctly.
I mean, COD4, TF2, Crysis and Flight Sim X aren't going to test themselves
I'm sure that the "100 hours testing and troubleshooting" are including the Gameplay, Benchmarking, software comparisons, Game comparisons... all the little test utilities and tweaking for top end results. This could easily take 100+ hours.
More junk. all there is to that one. nothing but problems with the HVR-1800s.
Iomega UltraMax Pro eSATA 1.5TB - $504
Junk. there are far better models out there than this thing...
APC Back-UPS RS 1500VA LCD ? 249.95

Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 64 - $379
Microsoft Windows XP SP2 - $249.99
System Commander 9 - $69.95
Perfectm for the geek who wants the lend of functionality, and non functionality. why not just submerge the PC in a vat of hot molten lead. it'll work faster.

i.e. 20 geeks @ 1/2 hour to build time. 1 geek to build it, 19 to drool over it.
Cables Unlimited UV Reactive Mode Kit with Dual Tube UV CCFL Lights, Fans, Floppy Cable and ATA133 Cable
Best of all, right there. how many geniuses writing this article realize there have no ATA133 drives?

2 LG Super Multi GGW-H10NI BD burner HD DVD reader - $1,999.98
A pair of Blueray drives are 1/3 the cost, with a far better chance of winning the format wars at this point.
These ARE Blu-Ray drives. They are Blu-Ray burners, but are also combo drives that can also read HD DVD. They're expensive because they are combo drives. They're only slightly more expensive (each) than a combo player-only standalone unit.
It gets confusing. Blu-Ray is often simply reduced to "BD" for Blu-Ray Disc in listings. Makes it a lot harder to find what you may be looking for if you're an average consumer.
