I read or saw something about those. Apparently it actually uses 2 screens with some kind of film in between. Viewing angle isn't supposed to be too good either horizontally or vertically either from what I understand. Although it will apparently do the effect without any special coding on the part of game developers or movie studios. My kids got some kind of game that was 3D and you have to wear those glasses like you see at disney world, and it was really REALLY 3D.. like you see at disney world. I don't member what game it was, but it didn't require any special monitor, but it did play better on a CRT monitor than a LCD for some reason.
I don't know if you guys have been to disney and seen those 3D animations they have, but it is WICKED how that stuff flies out at you. I couldn't imagine a double-pane monitor doing any more 3D than those 3d comic books where you had to wear a red/blue pair of paper glasses.
