Something else to note when using Super. Just as with everthing else in the computing world, if the codecs are missing, but are proprietary, its not going to work, or tell you why.
For instance, i can encode the file to a .wma using the MS-mpeg4-v2 output video codec, but not the WMV7/8. this is because M$ decided not to distribute mpg4c32.dll with windows or any other patch update. this is a file NEEDED to convert to some video formats.
i tested it for kicks and giggles, converting a file to the WMV output container, with the MS-mpeg4-v2 Output Video Codec and mp3 as the audio codec, and it worked just fine. WMM even read it without hassle. takes some trial and error at first, but once you have the basics down, it becomes a piece of cake.Vdub & super each are good at their own respective tasks. vdub is faster, but super is simpler. vdub can be used to encode various formats via AVIsynth, but that takes some work. Vdub is also alot more powerful.
