    780i!

Welp, I'm sendin in the ol 680i for a new 780i from eVGA through their upgrade program. Unfortunately, you won't see me on BF2 or anything else for about a week... unless I whip out the old gamin machine... hehe

I'll post later how it all goes have to put it all pretty much back together since its the motherboard I'm replacin.

Any comments or suggestions before I take it all apart tomorrow ?

Have you done a fresh install? There shouldn't be a problem because I have had BF2 on 2 computers for a long time.

No it wasn't fresh it was really old lol. But I hadn't patched it yet, so I'm downloading that. Maybe that'll work.

Well, I got the 780 installed and up and running .

Luckily, I have had no problems thus far with much of anything.

My CPU used to run hotter than it should have, except I can't remember exactly what the numbers were (lol); I tried looking for the 'help' thread on my hot CPU but I don't think it got transferred over in the new forums, or I just couldn't find it.

Anyhoo here are the current temps

oh yeah by the way, i have noticed something funny, in the Intel Thermal Analysis Tool, the temps seem to be 3-4 degrees C higher than on another CPU testing program I downloaded called Core Temp.

Right now the idle temps are:
35 for the Core temp app.
39 for the Intel Thermal Analysis tool.

Using the thermal analysis tool, you can stress the CPU up to 100% and see what the temps are.

Upon using the workload 100%, the temps stop rising at
56 for core 1 and 55 for core 2 on the core temp app
57 for core 1 and 55 for core 2 on the intel thermal analysis tool.

It is strange to me that the readings are closer when it is under stress.

So basically what I want to know is whether or not these temps are bad/ok/good... thanks in advance
