    file changing

Is it possible to change the type of file an application is.

for example i'm trying to make a movie on windows movie maker but when i try to pull the movies off my chip basically says that the type of file won't run on it.

    thanks for all feed back

You can get programs that will convert one type of file to another. Specifically, what type of file do you want to convert to from what type of file? I'm guessing you want to make a file in to an AVI or WMV for Windows movie maker to access, but what type of file are you trying to use?

Sounds to me like it's a codec issue. Not sure exactly how movie maker works though as i've never used it. Will it load any video file as long as you have the codecs needed?

There is a free program called SUPER that you can get which converts any video file into any type you can possibly think of using any codec you want...it is very easy to use and you can get it at www.vcdhelp.com under Tools section

Uh oh. I struggled with this a month or so ago. I couldn't find a free program that would convert from .mov to .avi or .wmv.

All the links people showed me either didn't support .mov or didn't support my specific file. Maybe you'll have better luck.

.mov files are Quicktime right? Couldn't you just spend 30 bucks for Quicktime pro and export it. Just a thought

123 Video Converter does an excellent job of converting all kinds of video and audio to other types. Unfortunately it's $30, there's a free trial, but it only does 50% conversion using the trial.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
