Newbie Help :(

I have a port on my laptop, S-Video i believe 7-pin on the back, round.

Anyway i know it can be used, but i dont know exactly for what nor how to utilize it. I suspect i can use it to use my TV as a monitor or something.. Please help a newbie out.

Yeah you got it. it's for displaying your monitor output on a TV in horrible resolution

You pretty much just plug in the svideo cable on your computer and tv (or whatever) and select your monitor output options. Like mapes said... the resolution sucks!!!
