Not really a shock considering how many people have not upgraded to Vista.

So it will be supported for 14 YEARS after its release ????

Things to consider: Windows 95 was released 15 years ago.
Following this new plan, support for Win95 would have ended last year.

Totally Off Topic: ohh, and I just tried out Dreamscene for Vista Ultimate ... talk about some cool eye candy ! Its newness hasn't work off yet, so I think its quite appealing.

Vista sucks, not enough people are switching over. They won't sell it retail or to OEM dealers soon, but they still need to support it. I'm not holding my breath on Windows 7.

Their flaw was in how much fat they left on it without leaving much for the end-user to really use. I mean, it'd be like trying to make hamburgers out of lard... not very appealing now is it?
