    Would This Effect Cameplay

I did speed test on my ISP and that my download speed is where it needs too be 2469Kb/s but my upload is not only 399 Kb/s and got this warning ( ISP upload compression was detected ).

Would the upload speed effect online game playing? If so how does one fix it if it can be fixed?

Not at all. 400kb/s is way beyond enough. A typical game will probably use 20kb/s at most.

Okay my response times seem too be somewhat slow compared too other players in shooting etc. I have tweaked all that I can so did not know if that could have been the cause.

I am lost on the computer jargen aspect of things and not very knowledgble on the proper tweak settings for games and computer hardware that can help a person. I am alittle above novice at MP games.

Thats why I ask alot of qusetions that for some my be stupid sounding too them but for me its all about seeking knowledge too be a better gamer.

It could be one of 3 things.

        1. Packet Loss
        2. Higher ping
        3. Your age catching up on you

        Last one is a joke.

Well, try this... click on start, then run. Then type in CMD. After that type in tracert into the black box that comes up, with 63.113.60.2 (cain's CoD4 TDM server) right after that. So it should look like...

            Tracert 63.113.60.2

Then click on enter. If you see anything with the word Atlanta and your ping shoots way up when it gets there, then there's your problem. But I don't think there will be much you can do about it though if that's the case.

              WOW

My ping is 27 with my ISP and when it gets too Dallas it goes up too 37 and when it get too Atlanta it shoots up too 72 then when it reaches Charlotte its 69 and final too cainlairs 74 and during game play its ranges from high 80's too very low 100's.

Thanks for that info that was interesting stuff.

I'd say it's a good bet that the atlanta T3 routers are causing your lag. They do the same thing for me, and I route to dallas first. Wish I could route it some other way, but no luck with my ISP. I think i'd have to call up whomever runs the atlanta T3 routers and have them re-direct me out of them from there, but with my luck that would mess up something else!
