Even worst

Ok.. After the hubby took out my vid card, his comp won't even start. It gets to the loading windows and then turns off. Any ideas?

His is a Pent 4 2.4 ghz
Nvidia gforce fx 5200 vid card
2- 512 sticks of 2800 ram

The computer is rather old. He's had it for about 7-8yrs. It's a dell and the motherboard, processor and one hard drive are all original.

Wondering if something got short cicuited when put my vid card in it.

NVM.. He got it to work. I'm not sure what he did but I can tell you that he feels a zillion times better.. lol

Hey now.. it runs better then mine half the time.. lol

He can play BF2142 on it and the only thing stopping him for COD4 is the video card.

card prob needed reseated.

Know one of my older pc's it has an AGP card in it, and the alignment with the case/mb is not well the best,
so over time it slips out, or if you dont put it in right,
even thou its in correctly, it will be just off the pins and no more.

Next time it happens, just take it in and out again, but don't screw it onto the case as tight, stops the case 'pulling' it out again as quick.
