Best Brand of Wireless Hub

I need to update my wireless hub at the house. I am currenly running a linsys SRX 400. Lately it stops connecting and has to be rebooted. I think the heat is affecting it, I live in SoCal and its been hot lately.
I looked at the Netgear 69.99 for a N and the linksys 69.99 for a N. Does anyone have any experience of input of whats the best one?

linksys has my vote. I have tried netgear and D-Link. But in my book linksys is much better hardware.

I like Netgear and Belkin. Contrary to BA I find Linksys's and Dlink's to be fecal material

Yeah, I prefer Netgear or Belkin, I've had too many issues with Linksys to recommend it.

I've used nothing but LinkSys, I've tried NetGear and D-Link also, but don't like them as much. I've been running a Linksys WRT54GS for since it came out and was using the previous Linksys before that until a power surge took it out.

IMHO it comes down to model and revision. They all make some junk models, and even some of the best models have junk revisions. My advise is to research the particular model you're looking at and note revision numbers in your research. Brands don't really mean much, it's all made in China.

While it's true they're all made in China I'm sure some of the better R&D goes on over here...or maybe India

My previous modem-router (Linksys) was made in Taiwan .
Now i`m using Netgar with modifited firmware.

Wireless hub?

Well, I have a Netgear WGR6v14 Wireless router....not sure if that's the same thing

I haven't had a problem with it yet - I love it. We only use the wireless radio for the Wii though

I have a Netgear wireless router that i have been using for quite a while. It has been solid.

I've only had 1 wireless and that's a Linksys but next time I'll try something different. I've ended up on the phone with India for hours with it over the years.

I ended up purchasing a Linksys WRT160N unit. The chipset is the same to Netgears, but it was still at 69.99 while the Netgear is now 99.99. So far it seems to work fine, just dont use their "easy pairing" feature (?). Unless you use "compatible" linksys units they keep disconnecting. I set up my securities (WPA-2) and IP filtering and all the PC's work fine now.
