is this a good laptop?

so i decide to get a new laptop...

this current one is giving me alot of problems.. like BSOD and random window crashes...

had it for 6yrs >_>

for $499 +Tax =$550(im on a low budget) & need it for school :]

I believe SWAT4 is going to be OK game for this machine

It will do just fine playing DoD:S, and you won't lag because of smoke either!



EDIT: I imagine you can play COD4 on medium settings. I played with med/low with a P4 and X850 for awhile, and it was definitely playable.

The specs are fine and you'll be able to play COD4, just let it optimize it and see how is does. DOD:S will be no problem.
you didn't have a brand on it though, what make of laptop is it and where are you getting it from? Bestbuy? online? HP? Gateway?

isn't compaq the new HP? they merged right? so I think that they are both pretty cool. Looking forward to playing CoD4 with you
