    Crysis Warhead PC

Okay, computer gurus...my current rig is horribly overdue for replacement, and I'm not up to date on hardware these days, so I've been looking at buying a prebuilt. This thing looks pretty good to me for the price, opinions?

    Article about it here.

The article states that there is no mention of an OS and that some of their other bare bones rigs aren't put together all that well. I would also want to know more about the support that you would get. I bet if you priced out the same parts on NewEgg you could get real close to the price.

I wouldn't order it until more details are available.

cant believe you can buy that kind of system now for that little... geez....

but anyways, crysis warhead is supposed to have the same requirements as crysis, but you can play it a level up because it is more optimized apparently. So if you could play regular crysis at all medium, you should be able to do all high and get same fps, allegedly.

XP w/SP3, it's farther down in the article. Thanks, guys...I'm not in any rush so I'll wait and see what kind of reception it gets before I do anything.

Nice spec Duke, but drop that 9800GTX+ for a HD4850.

Well I threw this list together before the other thread about video cards. I think the 4850 would lower the price a bit too. Also you can get XP Pro sp3 for $139.00. So they would cancel each other out.

Also I would want to know the manufacture of each of the components too.

this is where i bought my rig from. and i gotta say they did a really good job. they even had a lil bit of a problem when building and they called me personally to ask what i wanted to do about it, and were more than helpful. prices aren't that bad either.

Not bad prices. I'll save the link...in case I don't feel like the hassle of building my next rig.

To me, prebuilt is more hassle.

I'd personally exchange that CPU for a better one - the E8500

Video card - unless you run a large monitor, go with a 8800GT and you're good...
