That's good to hear I hope this will get them to come up with a reasonable DRM soultion that doesn't screw their customers.

EA....reasonable....not screw customers....are you drunk Rand? All it probably means if it's successful is that they'll rename SecuROM or just use something else just as bad in it's place, unfortunately.

First of all I think EA stinks. I also think that they are all about the $$ and in this case they may have seen that it's costing them more then the piracy would have. The fact that they changed this with Wars is an indication that they were hurt by Spore. I know they will try to stick in in somewhere down the road but they will get busted again. There are are too many geeks out there watching their ever move.

And no drinking today I'm on reserve duty.

DRM is pointless. The only way to limit piracy is to give players a reason to go online with the game, where their key can be verified, and a reason to stay there, whether it be frequent free updates, online-only offerings, or multiplayer. That, however, requires more of an investment than EA's "shove it out the door and forget about it" policy.

i couldnt agree with you more, if Right Now you try to submit for help on ANY game that is Pre COD4, the "support ticket" will NEVER be answered....
