    Dukes noob question of the day eSATA/HDMI

    I have just goggled these terms so I kind of know what they but what are the practical uses for these ports on my laptop?

    What ports?

      esata - external hdds and the like (basicly)
      hdmi - tv out/in combined with audio in the same line.

          HDMI is also the high definition port du jour. You could put a blu-ray player on that thing and export it via HDMI to an HDTV.

              OK so the Esata port could be handy for a speedier backup but I just don't see myself using the HDMI for anything.
