What do you guys think of Seagate hard drives? Specifically Seagate Barracuda 500GB SATA 32MB Hard Drive? Its on Woot today and im thinking about getting it for the desktop I wanna build.

Its a recertified drive on Woot. I like seagate but I wouldn't touch a recertified drive.

I have 2 Barracuda 500GB SATA 32MB and 1 T1 Barracuda 500GB SATA 32MB and i have never had a problem with anyone of them

Recert = already had a problem with it.

Its like buying a recertified helmet for a motorcycle. I had my first RMA/recert. drive experience two weeks ago with Seagate. I had sent in a 320gb unit and rcived a 400gb unit in return. Thought, oh cool, until I read the sticker on it saying 'Seagate Recertified' which gave me the bad news.Oh if a man tried to take his time on Earth and prove before he died what one man's life could be worth, well I wonder what would happen to this world ? - Harry ChapinComment
