Windows 7 ahead of Vista

Well, some benchmarks say it is....is MS actually doing something right for once? Guess only time will tell true.

Windows 7 really has gained my interest. I just hope it's as good as they say it is.

Well, this would be the first time that a new Microsoft OS was determined to be faster than its predecessor ... and we KNOW that these early glowing reviews are all spot on and 100% indicative of what the final OS will bring to the table.


Geez, I can go through my old mags here (had one that trumpets the new MS OS due out in a year, naming it Windows 97 .. hahahaa) and every review of every MS OS was full of great things and promises, until reality hit home and the new OS was actually released and installed !!!

How many times do we fall for this ? I know some of you think that Win XP is the penultimate do-it-all OS, but when it came out it was a steaming turd that ran games (if at all) at a pathetic framerate and had all sorts of problems getting games to display full screen. If you weren't gaming back in '02, you wouldn't know what we speak of, but trust me, a google search on the early days of the OS reveal that it was lambasted and panned by anyone who cared about gaming on the PC.

I just wanted to post new reviews since I've been posting all the negative ones before this. I agree, we have to wait and see when it releases.

I'm sure there's going to be some serious under the hood improvements since I remember watching a webcast from Mark R. (creator of sysinternals) and he was talking about he didn't get on with MS in time to make a difference with Vista, but ...
So my hopes is he has had the chance to have some input into Windows 7.
