Hi all, I call myself DougBob. I'm a 45 year old recent heart attack suvivor and love playing COD4.
I am usually a very patient individual, but I fine some of the younger attitudes becoming harder to listen to.
I am a AF vet and have been all around the world, mostly after I seperated from the military believe it or not.
I am a IT professional, not a manager, I really work for a living and know what I'm doing on a computer, Unix or PC, doesn't matter. My favorite thing, if I had the money, is ride dirt bikes. I grew up in NC and currently live in CO, NC is where my heart is though! I spent my younger years trying to get away from home and now try everything I can to get back, but just can't seem to get my luck to go that way.
I grew up riding dirt bikes and working on a farm, so I can say I know a little about what work is all about. I've found unlike some of of the people I grew up with that the world is a very beautiful place to see and I'm so grateful I've had the opportunities to visit all the countries I've have seen.
I have never joined, much less visited a gaming forum such as Cain's Lair, but I've been so impressed with the people and playing on the COD4 server and listening to some of the CLR guys makes me feel like I'm at home. So I'm adding the {CLR} to my game name and will proudly support it.
If Cain will accept I'll keep a standing offer of my services as an admin for the COD4 server. I can't say I will be on everynight but I can say I will put my years of experience to good use and make proper judgements when administoring the server. I've found in my military experiences decisions aren't hard and making the best decision with the available information and live with the consequences is the important thing.
That's all folks.
Look forward to playing more on Cain's CoD4 server and enjoying everyones company.
Oh yeah one more thing Cain, awesome basement man.
