Hey guys, newbie here from Florida. Is this forum still alive? I'm seeing posts late last year with only a few people who comment.

Welcome to Cains Lair.
Some of us are still alive.
We are (were) a gaming community that Cain started a long, long time ago. We are currently not running any games.

I am all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Lets start with typewriters.

It is because we no longer host any games. PC Gaming Companies went out of their way to discourage online gaming communities.

Thats for sure, "quick match" and "match making" killed off a lot of games, then followed by the "yeah you can run a server, but it has to be exactly like this"...
Also does not help that people have taken favor to social media and places like reddit and discord for their "community" needs either and I honestly find those places toxic.
You post something you are proud of, ask for help one something or try be nice and you instantly get 100 people replying with brown colored paint...
I'm not insane. I'm just overwhelming!
