    Electronic Arts will unveil Battlefield 3 this March.

    The publisher confirmed to the media it will host an unveil event for the game on Mar. 1, 2011, taking place during the week of the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.

    Those who purchased the Limited Edition of Medal of Honor this past fall received an invitation to the Battlefield 3 beta. Details about the beta's release date have not been announced.

    Battlefield 3 is expected to ship in 2011.

    I read that too. Several things comes to mind.

    Is this unveiling a paper press release? A 30 second trailer that mostly have text then in-game footage?

        I guess there's your best reason to have bought the upgraded MOH.

          If you buy it now do you still get beta access?

            I would think it would go something like this;

            People who bought MOH would get 2 weeks (maybe 3) early closed beta before beta opens to the general public(1 week). Its not worth getting MOH just for beta access.

            Just my speculations

                          I'll be disappointed if we don't get at least 32 v 32.

                          I'm afraid BF3 will be more like the current games like CoD, MoH, or even Bad Company. It needs to be more like BF2 was.

                          The reason I liked BF2 so much was was the tactics. Squad-based tactics! Capturing and holding flags was fun as hell. In the current games it feels like it's just a frenzied rush into combat to kill other players without much concern for objectives.
                          The graphics were good but very clear. I could see where the enemy was (within reason) and recognize they were the enemy. In the current games (especially BF:BC2) I have a hard time distinguishing players from some of the environments, and in some cases the good guys from the bad guys at first glance. And that's not even complaining about the snipe-fests some games are.

                          BF2 was awesome. You could hide in the little villages in the Midway map, see the enemy clearly, and attack. Guarding the flag in the TV station building in the Sharqi peninsula was frickin fun.

                          I'm trying to remain positive, but if it's just "the next FPS game" then I don't know how much I'm going to like it.

                            BFBC2 Vietnam plays a lot like BF2. Get the game and come play with us Nico.

                              When I played BF:BC2 I think I only played on hardcore mode, and I didn't really like that. A guy at work explained what hardcore actually entails, (I thought that's just how the game was) and I think that's why I soured on the game. Maybe I'll give it another chance on my next day off.

                                Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
