I am tired of having to download so many different services to play my games.

I have GamersFirst, which has one game on it, and STEAM. Just having these two services alone is annoying. Start the program, get news updates, automatic updates for games start downloading, all kinds of bloat. Buggy. Meh.

Steam has their stuff figured out. I understand the idea of wanting to make a profit, but really? Work out a better contract with something that's already working, functional, and reaches out to so many others before trying to develop your own (most likely junk) program.

I seem to recall the EA Downloader, and it was funk. It screwed up my 2142 install atleast four times that I can remember.

I remember using the EA downloader to download the Northern Strike expansion pack for 2142.

I like steam just because I dont have to go out and buy the game myself so I save myself a little time and gas money but for BF3 im gonna pre-order from Best Buy.

Anyway, Valve's titles alone contain 4 of the probably 20 best PC games ever made, and that's not bad.

        +1

I would also add that people already have a bunch of game already and wont want to run two applications for their games and when you add in things like the friends lists and the forums the should do OK.
