I can't believe they're going to do this. It's gonna piss a lot of people off. It's also not like it would be hard to allow persona choice based on the one's you have already created in past games, just like the EA profile site.

Hey, I liked UT3.

Anyway, I'm really, really torn now. I love the TRUE BF games--1942 and BF2 in particular. But a growing part of me would love to see BF3 fail because it would constitute a gigantic slap in the face to EA and perhaps, if we're lucky, signal the death knell for Origin (though most likely not, since Old Republic is going to use it too).

I would love to see EA get a slap but it would also be a slap at PC gaming, this game is built for the PC first which is rare theses days. I feel torn and a little upset that a big part of PC gamings future is in the hands of EA.

I liked UT3 too, but boy was it a big flop ....

These game makers have fallen in love with STEAM and that whole concept to advertise directly to gamers, so Origin and things like it are here to stay with us PC gamers...

The console people will get an in-game server browser.
