EA’s Battlefield 3 beta site goes live

It has been discovered today that an official site by EA has “bf3beta” on it’s sub-domain, and we all know what that means.
Looking at the domain name “bf3beta.battlefield.com” we are being served with a blank-background web page that only stated “It works!” text.
Usually, a webmaster would be readying for something after setting up a domain, and we can be sure that EA has been finishing up all the beta goodies you need ahead of the anticipated Battlefield 3 release next month.
If you are curious if this is a fake website, you can check with any Whois tool online. Besides, it is a sub-domain to the Battlefield.com site, an official place that has been created by EA.
Previously, DICE through their official Twiter account for Battlefield has responded to a fan question about the beta by stating, “In September, not official date has been confirmed.”
This seemed to be the same site for the alpha someone said?
