BF3 in game names

Can someone start a campaign to get EA to fix the in game name thingy. I dont want to use my EA account sign up name for my in game name. They need to fix that. I'm sure there are others here that are looking at the same problem.

Had the same problem with Steam when adding friends. Some of the accont names didnt match up to the names used to play the game. Gets confusing and you dont even know who you're playing with.

I saw a note that said once you upgrade to Origin 8 you will be able to choose your ingame name.

That was a response from a forum admin at EA about 3 months ago. I doubt anything changed.

I went ahead and got on the EA chat thingy and changed my master id to Cobalt07.. closest I could get. If anyone wants to re-add me to their friends list feel free.

SilentAssasinCLR is my origin name and therefore will more than likely be my ingame name from what I have heard

Well I didnt change it myself. I just logged into my Ea account and went to the support page I believe. They give you a live chat option to contact some one. The person I got changed it to that per my request. I had to put the 07 at the end cause the Cobalt was taken, So was Cobaltt. So I ended up with that.

It is either MikSchultzy, Schultzy, or Styled (one I had to make once when the other two were glitched, go EA)

When you sign in on Origin, whatever comes up is your EA Master ID.

After three tries last night, I finally got to chat with someone at support.ea.com and I got mine changed. They wouldn't allow "special characters" so I had it changed to DeadAgainCLR (DeadAgain was taken). Hopefully we will be able to make our in-game name something different than our ID, because I want the ... to be in my name.

they have the Tag adding system ingame.

a. I couldn't use Dead...Again because . is a "special character"
b. Someone else already had DeadAgain
