BF3 in game names

Here are the directions SilentAssassin provided a while ago. I emailed them to myself to make it easier.

I went to this page:

And clicked on "Contact Us" on the left side of the page.

I filled in the necessary Information:

Product: Origin
Platform: PC
Category: Account/Registration
Subcategory: User ID/ Password help

Once I got connected to a representative (takes as long as 45 minues but as short as 2 minutes) I told them I needed to change my EA Master ID/ Origin ID. They will ask you to confirm the email address that you use for EA and your birthdate. Once thats taken care of they should go on to help you change it.

I tried changing it to my current forum name "TheSilentAssasin" but the said that was taken. I tried telling them thats MY name but it didnt seem to matter to them because once the name has been registered even if its yours its gone. So I told them to change it to "SilentAssasinCLR".

They then told me to log out of EA/Origin (recommend you download Origin and login with that to ensure it worked) and tell them if it worked. If it did then you should be good to go.

It took me 3 times before I was able to get through to anyone, after sitting for ~45 minutes each time.

The line will be swamped after release...I want to get rid of the _ before the CLR seems just Zantheus is taken

Tried the process listed above, this is what it yielded:

Nate: That other account is definitely mine then, because that was my EA ID for Battlefield2
Nate: Is there a way to recover that account?
Nate: It is also listed on my current EA account as a Battlefield ID

I really hope they get this fixed. Not really sure how my the identity can be tied to another EA account when I have had the same EA login (using my email address) since BF2, and my name was [nycff]Nate in both games. When EA last asked me to pick a master ID on logon (which they have done 3 times now) I guess I just made the wrong choice... Not to mention the confusion caused when it presented me with 8 names, 4 of which were duplicates, to choose from.

What ticks me off is the name I want to use the "is already taken"... WAS TAKEN BY ME!! It is my frigging name!!

No, none of the above. I dont know what the hell these dumb ass programmers are doing but they aint that smart when it comes to stuff like this.

You can use numbers though.

I have Tuqui as my BF name (thankfully) but I can't get access to Tuqui-tuqui even though it's already registered to me! Argh! What an irritating system. You would think that a company that wishes to create it's own game distro/social competitor to Steam it would at least allow you the same features it is trying to compete against!
