When Do GPUs Drop In Price?

Anyone savy on when graphic cards tend to drop in price? Does anyone know about when the next generation of cards will be released?

I'm thinking of buying a new card now, especially if prices don't typically drop for another few months.

I don't think there will be a price drop in the near future. Just set a price point and watch for deals. Right now:
560Ti < 6950 < 570 and 6970

I think 6970 > 570 but not sure on that.

You can get a 560Ti for $225 or so, 6950 for ~$275, 570 for ~$325.

How much money are you looking to spend?

They drop when a replacement comes along. Otherwise just watch for sales or specials.

I'm going to go with a 560Ti. Mainly because I have a dual core processor and from the research I've seen, my CPU will just bottleneck a 570 and I won't get the extra performance. Actually, my CPU will probably bottle neck a 560Ti too, but from what I've read it isn't a noticeable difference.
