Which Server

Although I have been too busy with RL to play much I have noticed you folks seem to be flavoring the NJ Gameservers server, is that correct??

So maybe that is where I should add server Number 2, or not??

The biggest problem with that server was that it was full whenever we tried to log on. Sweet ping for us.

To be honest, I am much preferring Metro over Caspian. Though, I kinda would love a ruleset like "Tactical Gamer" runs for rush - the kind that enforces team play. Limited snipers etc tend to help.

I was thinking about that. I don't believe it would be possible if you want to run a 64 player CQ server - as it seems the RUSH maps are limited to 32...

Though, Metro is MUCH larger than some of the other RUSH maps. heh

Golden I tried that in the very early days of BC2 and it was a miserable failure for us...

Most people like what they like and leave when the server flips to another mode...

Keep one mode per server is probably best. Maybe do a Rush server and a Conq server at launch? Then see which of the two modes people like best and potentially convert the less popular one?

We have two main modes in BF3 itself, HC and vanilla, I am thinking of trying those two modes on two different servers.

BF2 only had one setting, no HC mode.

The more I play BF3, I think vanilla is going to be the way to go. I cannot imagine playing hardcore with how few bullets you can already take. Can you imagine taking 2-3 bullets less?

Granted, I already don't have the HUD that most people have. :P

I really hope so. HC loses many of the team aspects that make BF3 a real BF type game.

DICE had no business taking a COD game-mode and applying it to their BF game(s).

I'm almost positive I will be able to remove the Killcam on the vanilla server.

We will see how it goes, and I'll decide very early.

If the Beta was a true Vanilla it plays more like HC as far as overall bullet damage goes. I have not had to empty a full clip to kill the enemy like in BFBC2. Although I do find the Sub-Machine guns more powerful than the Heavy Machine Guns. The UMP45 and the PP2000 are beasts in the Beta.
