    So. KEEP HOPE ALIVE !!!

I know TS allows for a lot of key binding. You can actually key set a key bind so that it talks to people in other channels. You can key bind so it directs the talk to anyone with a certain admin level and so on and so forth. I don't know if Cain has this allowed on the TS server but back when I use to play with the Global Warfare guys in 1942 we used this all the time.

We use to have huge battles with people in squad channels and the squad leaders would talk to the commanders via the key bind. Actually worked pretty well and the commanders had a lot of control over what the squads were doing. On "match" nights it was all people in the community playing a match so the teamwork was insane. Only thing I ever seen come close to that outside of organized league matches is on Tactical Gamer servers way back in the day. They are kinda too big now though (TG I mean).

        Cliff notes anyone?

Scratch that. I went to the original article where the text was formatted (with bold, space, etc) and it was much easier to read than the post that was all uniform text.

And the big that bugs me about his responses:

"we hope... we hope... we think"

Too many answers were hopes and thinks.

I feel like all I can do is hang my head in sorrow until they can give better news.
I found that also. On the add friends section it made it seem that you could import all Origin friends to Battlelog so they can work in sync. Yet when i click on it it only gave me one person to import.

Quite odd that they're two seperate entities anyway.

From a software perspective (both because that's what I do and because I've read it about other Demos and Betas)

That wasn't "2 weeks from release" code. That was code probably from a month or two (or more) ago. With the way software is generally done, they had to take a snapshot some time ago and doll it up for the Beta.... remove features that were half done, hack features that were only part done into a vaguely working order *coughsquadmanagementcough*... etc

I'm really not concerned as far as solid code goes.

I'm wondering how may times someone was reading through their feedback and yelling at their screen "We already fixed that goddamnit, tell me about something useful" the 8 millionth time someone complained about squad management.

The only kind stuff that really did bother me was design stuff like the menu for settings only being accessible when you're alive.... Kinda like how BC2 *still* won't let you exit after a round until you join the match.

I find the talk about the gun damage funny though. I was pretty happy with the damage as it was. Though, maybe that was the "more damage while running issue.....

definitely expecting bugs and lag issues on opening day. didn't have too many problems with the beta as it was. I'm just hoping they get the squad stuff down, also sadly I'm sure they are neutering the super balls out if the ump. I was so looking forward to being a gaming god once I hit lvl 16. oh well. I am big time curious on the changes being done to the flashlights. you have to admit it was kind of fun to "shoot out the sun". hopefully the same is done with that gd laser pointer/sight they had. lastly really really REALLY looking forward to my hardcore mode again.

I didn't find the laser to be as bad as the flash light. You essentially had to be looking directly at the laser for it to do anything deter-mental to your vision. Even more so, the effect was considerably less and more manageable.

With the UMP, Farebane and I were talking about that one on a call earlier this week. It was not as overpowered as it may have seemed. At this point, I would even argue it not being the strongest gun in the BETA. Was it over powered? Yes. But by that statement, I mean it was more than it should be. As Farebane said: "It's a .45 caliber machine gun..." I think it was more an issue that more of the other guns were not powerful enough! The main point where I would say it was over powered is that it could out shoot some of the assault rifles at range. But if you get in a CQB fight with a UMP and you're carrying a light-round AR, I would expect the SMG to out shoot/perform the AR.

I would also like to state that it shouldn't be given at such an early level, as some of the weapons you get later on are considerably weaker. It should be one of the later guns a player gets, in my humble opinion.

in all honesty i agree with you about the dmage not being enough. as for the ump comment. that was me just getting pissy about how it seemed every time i was killed it was with that gun. anyway im just going to sit here and wait for the game. maybe play a few rounds of bc2, crap in the roommate's chair, stuff like that. hopefully see a bunch of the cain folks there

UMP should be lethal up close but at middle to long range the short barrel should be inaccurate. I don't know how many times I was killed by one shot from across the map by someone using the UMP.
