Huh, what ever it takes to kill armor, I'm all for. Some folks tank whore the whole game. So I dont feel sorry for them in the least. I cant tell you how many times I've been killed by armor when I had nothing but an auto weapon for defense. Kinda cheap way of killin people if you ask me but it's part of the game. So the jihad is the counter for those guys.

If someone dont like gettin blowed up then they ought to stay out of em. I have no remorse killin em and no mercy for tank drivers at all. That's why I play eng. mostly. If you hadnt guessed yet, i despise armor about as much as I do snipers.

Let me clarify a bit. It's not the tanks I hate per say, it's the way people use em a lot of the time. I like seeing tanks go head to head, but when we played BC2 there were guys I seen camp out on the far side of the map almost out of sight across from C in Harvest day and pot shot infantry as they tried to take the point. Never engaged any other armor, just sit out there and did nothing but kill people with their optics package and nothing else.

Then you get the guys that wont even play the game if they cant get in a tank. I never understood that much, but I guess they suck at infantry. I dont know. But runnin up against infantry in a tank is kind of spineless if you ask me. But it's all part of the game, and I understand that. But dont mean I have to like it. Cause I dont.

I dont necessarily have to like a particular aspect of the game to play it. I just like the game overall and overlook the tank aspect and carry on like a good soldier. But be advised, I will go jihad on your a$$ in a heartbeat. I deal with tanks. Tank drivers have to deal with jihad.

While I like playing both. I can tell you from BF3 beta .. running a tank into a kill area is very hard to do. You know there are 3 people with eng kits ready to take you out. Then you have the support people trying to plant C4 on you.

There was so much brush and its so easy it hide you have to be ready to dash through some areas. Rand has his work cut out for him.

One advantage to tanking is that you learn just how to kill tanks, so I'm equally at home both in armor and blowing armor up while on foot.

Like you, I abhor those who just sit and camp spawn points or sit just outside the main base trying to snipe people. Got much more respect for those out there supporting their team and challenging enemy threats.

If you don't aim for the treds what part should I be aiming at ?

I usually always aim for the treads or side. If not the rear. I never engage armor from the front

I'd never had luck taking tanks down in BF3. It always seemed I was the only one fighting the tank, and that it took all of my ammo with no ill effect.

My problem with tanks in BF3 is after you disable them with 1 or 2 rockets, it takes 4 or 5 more just to blow it up. Or if you leave it on its own it will blow up for no reason. It was very weird.

It took sometimes 2 to disable then pull out your gun and shoot the repair guys.
I think in BF3 its not so much to destroy the tank buy disable so it blows itself.

It takes about 2 C4 to blow the tank.. and 1 to disable it.
Most tank hits didn't end up with a kill just a disable. Since everyone bails pretty quickly...Especially the gunner if he eng and can fire on the other tank.
