I voted for vanilla, mostly to reduce the effectiveness of sniper weapons, (which is my biggest peeve) but for almost every other reason I'd prefer hardcore. I'd also like to have the weapon load out UI too, but neither mode is perfect.
Gotta say I'm a fan of hardcore for every reason there is to be, though I'm getting fed up with the TK lol... I'll sometimes find myself typing "sorry" a bit too much for my own taste.
I vote hardcore becuase its awesome in every way there is ...i thought befor that hardcore only thing i didnt like was HC flying...after seeing that it is a better thing and heres why ....It MAKES you use the BUDDY system....and i LOVE being in a game with TEAM work ....being it a wing man or helicopter....GO GO team based game play i vote HC
HHHHaaaarrrrddddccccoooorrrreeeee.

Where do you put the Bayonet?
Chesty Puller (upon seeing a flamethrower for the first time)
I am all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Lets start with typewriters.
Frank Lloyd Wright
In BC2 I hated HC, but in this game HC definitely puts a premium on teamwork - spotting enemies, healing people and vehicles, those two along make it superior... IMO.
I think they got the balance of this one right. You cant kill people with one shot unless they are already hurting. Or in the head with a sniper rifle. But even snipers take more than one shot it seems to the body.
Kinda wish we had more teamplay.

I like being able to see how much ammo I have left, which fire mode my gun is in, and the marker when an enemy is spotted. I also like the HC damage/health (except for the damn snipers) and lack of a kill cam (most of the time - sometimes it still shows, so that's buggy).
Why can't they give us a mode that combines the best of both HC and Vanilla?
That said, I voted vanilla. It just has more going for me that I like. But, all I've been playing since launch is HC, because our vanilla server just doesn't seem to ever get started up.
I never worry about much of the stuff people use on vanilla anyway. I know how much ammo I have, just cause I'm good. I never use the map much. Things change before you get there anyway. And I dont particularly think spotting is good because that's next to hacking.
We been playin HC so long on BC2 that the vanilla just feels funny. That, and this HC isnt like Cod at all. Although they may have copied that aspect, Cod is one shot with any weapon. This not so much.
But hey, i'll play what we play.
