I understand the desire to get into a tactical mode, but this first week of the game I'm enjoying having everyone in one channel so we can all laugh and share in the experience of this new game. When you're learning new stuff together as a group it's great to have the whole group talking to each other.

I noticed that at 8-15 players its very chatty. As soon as the server started to fill up people buckled down and shut up.

This might be the people in the server at the time, but I really believe it is because they had to pay more attention. My chatty self as well.

Many of you did not play BC2 with us, so here is how this plugin for the server works.

1) I set a threshold, below which we are all in the same channel, this is useful for server start up. something like 8 players or maybe 10.

2) The second threshold splits us into team channels.

3) The third threshold splits us into squads.

This plugin works amazingly well, and those of you who did not play BC2 will like it very much.

So remember we are all on one channel during startup, and all on one team channel until we get too many, then we go back to squads just like BF2.

I'm never afraid when that happens. I just buckle down and try to kill as many CLR's as I can, hoping that they fear the name "BadHabitz!".... and then Phantom knifes me...

I give phantom credit.. he had 6 people running around trying to get him on one map. All the rest of the teams were AFK on startup.

Like or dislike him he is a great player and he supports Cain's Servers.
Personally, I like him He is always polite even as he is knifing me with his 10 foot knife.

Don't get me wrong I like him. He is my challenge on almost every map.

Hey Cain, I was wondering if you could make the channels for us that we could go into. Sometimes I like being in the lobby to talk to everyone and there are other times when I want to actually play the game and communicate with my teammates.

With BC2 you forced us into one channel only depending on the team, but there were lots of us that really wanted to say hello or chat with someone that we liked.

I know I for one would be respectful enough to go into another channel on my own rather than be forced to go to a certain channel. I understand it's your teamspeak and I want to make it clear that with this suggestion I'm not trying to disrespect you in the least. Hopefully this comment doesn't come out that way haha.

I just like the freedom of being able to talk to someone that I know and hear them scream about how I knifed them haha

But with this freedom there should of course be one simple rule. No one goes on the other team's channel to eaves drop. This I believe you were trying to prevent Cain and I respect you greatly for that decision and understand why we were forced into certain team channels. I just hope everyone else has the same respect and doesn't spy on the other team's voice channel for a cheap kill.

I believe something like that would fall under "Ass Hatting" and should be dealt with appropriately. This would give us full control over our decision to either go into the lobby; talk and laugh or switch to a team channel to get serious in the game.

The channel can get hectic once more than 8 people get on. Having the option of being able to split would be convenient.

Granted, I also really enjoy hearing Apache's intel, and sometimes how wrong it is. My favorite is when he calls the wrong point of where I just killed him from. Makes me giggle everytime because I think "no I am not *sneak sneak*"... Or gives me a chance to bounce outta where I am. :P
