I do as well. I don't really try to spot infantry that much, but any time I see an enemy vehicle I try to spot it. Very helpful to our engys, tankers, and pilots to know where the enemy threats are.

The one thing I don't like about friendly fire... unless you're in my squad, you have to be on my screen for about 30 seconds before you get a blue indicator, if you ever get a blue indicator. Squad ALWAYS had indicators.

Watched someone for a good minute, they had a buddy show up, I scrapped trying to dance with the vehicle I was toying with, and lobbed a grenade at the 2 guys (they were engaged in a fight down a hallway, and probably couldn't see me well, I saw them through vehicle windows).

2 TK's in 1 grenade. No blue, no indication they were friendly, couldn't spot them due to stuff in way (really stupid, you can see through glass windows, but unless its a 'destructible window' spot doesn't ever work).

After I've gotten a couple TK's from people running at me with no indicator (you round a corner in my direction, no indicator, you're getting shot... and I like the shotgun) I've been hopping on another server for a while so I don't run a risk of autoban.

Yes, I'm one of those people who fire before they see the indicator. I got tired of dying over and over to people rounding corners at me with no indicator and killing me while I'm waiting for the server to decide whether or not to tell me if its someone on my side.

Only other issue with hardcore is the no vehicle chase cam. The vehicles aren't setup so as to provide good view of your path, which it shouldn't since its not a racing game. Due to narrow field of view (even at maximum), you have to drive VERY wide of things or clip trees, fences, and so on. Wish it could be enabled for only light vehicles, but I can understand why tanks are a no no.

Other than these 2 issues.... I pretty much agree with hardcore.

If only I could have a non-rotating minimap and an expanded map that actually had a use.. but those aren't server settings.

I voted for hardcore. I enjoy both vanilla and hardcore, but I find hardcore is a little more balanced. Meaning, in vanilla you'll lose to a better gun instead of losing to better skill.

I'm going to play both modes.

I can't really make a decision. Having only played on the Lair i've only had the chance to play HC.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
