Grand Bazaar is one of the most depressing lame map. Grand Bazaar makes me all sleepy

Which is worse? Rocket whore maps or sniper whore maps? What about the new dimension BF3 brings to the table--massive (MASSIVE) maps where it takes forever to drive from the deployment areas if you're even lucky enough to get a vehicle, only to die 3 seconds after getting to the nearest flag?

Peak has its moments, and Bazaar is crazy fun, what the Lair is all about: right-sized map, lots of people, lots of chaos. Same with Seine.

If we can keep our fellow CLRs from spawn camping the uncaps, and lead by example so others refrain from the same, it'll all be gravy.

If you really want to find out information. Take a poll as to why Lair members play on other servers. Cause I see a bunch of em. They probably aint mad at anyone but something attracts them to play other than here from time to time.

The thing that killed most of the Lair players was the repetition. Guys like myself that play as much as 4-6 hrs at a time can get really bored if you have only a few maps and double up on the same map. More maps with one round per map wont kill the server per say. Some people will stick a crappy map out cause they know it's only gonna be run one time. Not so much if you run it twice. I dont like the island map but I stick around cause I know others are coming up. If I have to play it just once, even better.

ps: everyone that I was in game with liked the one map rotation. I could be wrong but one map rotation with more maps might be the way to approach this thing. And remember when starting a server up. The long drawn out map play of some of the larger maps is tough. Even tougher if you have to play it twice in a row. Most of the Lair guys will tough it out. But visitors wont stay around and get bored really fast. I seen them do it so many times in BC2.

Not a fan of Peak. The tunnel bottleneck is just repetitive and frustrating. Dropping down from a chopper on the backside added to some fun. But still mostly bites because of the tunnel cluster.

Metro has the same feel. Hate it.

The only time we had to go rape an uncap was on Seine, when the opposing team had like 6 guys on mortars just sitting back there the whole time. We promptly got behind enemy lines, and raped those dudes. LOL

I agree. Twice in a row is repetitive. Even if I like a map. If I don't like the map, it's brutal.

Now that I finally played metro on 64 - it's horrible... please never add this map lol.

It's nothing but a dead stop of play as the two teams camp at the landing near the top of the 2nd elevator and between the entrance to the station...

I also really like noshaar canals... there's plenty of vehicles to get around in (even though its a long way for the RU team, just take a boat though to the first cap)

And regarding playing on different servers.... for now, yeah I'm on this one but it doesn't mean you have to never go to another server. I played on [another server] for a long time after CL dropped BF2 - so you'll see me [there] often for BF3.

Both are good but so far the TS and teamplay on CL seems better than anywhere else

I think Metro's fun, but only in a rush setting. I don't necessarily mind the other maps, but these are my faves, for now :P I used to hate Tehran until I found out how to make it fun

Also, the server was set to only 1 round per map a few days ago. After a crash it seems to have gone back to 2 rounds, switching sides, per map. Intentional?

Yes metro was better in rush then conquest and I don't know how they could have screwed that up.

I don't know the names of any maps. Well, I do, but I don't remember which is which.

I like...

The one that is like a cargo shipping area... or a drydock.
The mountain with the Peak
Grand Bazaar (okay I remember that one)
And the one that is in a city and has 2 bridges, one of them is a capture point.

I hope that makes sense...


Also, just a suggestion, maybe turning one of the servers into a non-hardcore conquest? I personally like Hardcore, since nothing makes me facepalm more than when I'm shooting the hell out of an enemy and he just turns me around and pops me in the head, escaping with about 5% health, but a ton of my buddies that play eventually leave after seeing the server is on Hardcore.

It'd also be nice if Caspian wasn't the map being played 9 times out of 10 when I join the server. Is that the map the rotation starts with? Might be fun to change it up. It's not a terrible map, but it's fairly long, slow, and boring if there are only like 5 people on each side.
