Cain, I think you forgot one: "don't knife the boss to get his tags."
Anyone know how to set up chat triggers yet? I'd like them for "Welcome to Cain's Lair. Thanks for playing here!", "Visit us at www.cainslair.com." Something about TS and adding to favs. And: "Sorry!" every time I tk someone.

I always apologize for the tks (and stop vehicles to do so), and I understand when I'm accidently tk'ed. It's the nature of this game, for better or worse.

Only time I chat much is when Phantom is doing something stupid like not helping us capture a point and not on TS. Like yesterday. j/k.
Only other time is when someone is sniping down the halway on the Tunnel map. Thats just lame in my book I dont care who you are. And I'll apologize for Tk'ing . But the chat is mostly ignored. I'm too busy playin to read stuff much so I dont see a lot of the pissin going on.Not everything that counts on the battlefield is countable.

I usually only type in chat to say sorry, but yesterday I told someone to stop saying BF3 sucks and that he SO wants MW3 to come out. Seems everytime he's on the server he has something negative to say about BF3 and always tries to play up MW3. Pisses me off after a bit.
Other than that, I think I asked once if people were lagging, but it turned out to be my router and I fixed it, then relayed that in chat as well.

Anyways, hope that clears up the confusion, if you were reffering to me. Although, I do agree with my buddy since I would have to agree that BF3 was a pretty big letdown from what I expected it to be, I still enjoy playing it however.
Anyways, moving on - I got a question.
Have the typical CLR rules changed? When I was last here, heavy language was against the rules. Before I rejoined the forums I saw a lot of people, some I didn't see back in the past, wearing the CLR tag and dropping S bombs and F bombs and calling people douche bags. I even got made fun of for being level 8 at the time and learning how to fly a helicopter by a CLR member. I don't know if things have changed, but I certainly don't remember that being allowed. Maybe some CLR folks should watch what they say from time to time? I did see the rule about setting a positive example when I rejoined the forums and made this account...

I wasn't trying to bad mouth BF3 when I said the MW3 trailer looked good. Just because someone brings up MW3 doesn't mean they're bad mouthing BF3. I'm actually a fan of both games. I played on Cain's server during BF2 and 2142 and MW1 and WAW when the population switched there. I enjoyed both games a lot, so I probably will play MW3, but I won't just drop BF3 (I'm waiting for Guild Wars 2 to come out before I do that )

Your explanation makes sense, but allow me to explain it from my point of view:
Your buddy you got the game from played at launch and came on CLR servers spouting about how bad BF3 was, but continued to log in to the server almost every time I was there and say the same stuff. People who play a game just to talk shit about it at the same time annoy me.
So if he left and you came back, voicing your opinion for the first time, I don't get to see that. I just see the same person continuing the same rant every time I log in to the server.
You are most definitely entitled to your opinion and I wouldn't dream of taking away your right to speak your mind, but from someone's point of view who's seen the same screen name talk shit about the very game they're playing, it really grates on my nerves. I know you didn't say anything bad about MW3, but since the screen name was the same, I just figured that's where you were heading
On your other topic, I know someone was drunk the other night and talking a lot of shit to EVERYONE. He said in chat he was drunk, so most of us just kind of shrugged it off as someone playing drunk. Whatever reflection on the server that represents, Cain can handle :P

Actually he was playing the game to try to like it, rather than be a troll. I played some good rounds with him on BF2. He doesn't game much, but does have some favorites. I agree with some of his complaints, mainly the unlocks, but once you do unlock stuff the game becomes a bit more fun.
For the record, I think I know who you're talking about, and I believe I played with that person in the past. Getting drunk is no excuse in my book, especially if the guy was able to get a positive K/D and talk perfectly fine. From what I remember, it was for sure not the CLR way I knew.
