Yeah it is so sick. Will DICE listen? Of course not, because like most devs, they are stubborn and lazy once the game comes out.

You know what's ironic? Most of this stuff is just what the evolution of BF2's built-in UI would look like today.

I just continue to be utterly baffled by the conscious design decisions made by DICE to bork elements that worked not only well, but better than any other MP game I've ever seen: VOIP, squad interface and 6-man squads, loadouts, more functionality to maps and chat, etc.

Very good, hands-on suggestions of an alternative spawn/squad UI.
As you may understand, changing interfaces like this involves a lot of things both conceptually and technically. But with such concrete feedback, it definitely makes it easier for us to understand what ideas you have. We'll keep our eyes on this thread.

I remember Tribes, where you had 100% control over the interface. It was great. I used to do alot of that stuff back in the day, modifying huds and changing the graphics of said huds.

A lot of mmos have user configurable uis. I don't understand why dice doesn't do this. It shouldn't be that hard if built from the ground up.
