Right. If there's a MAV and a couple of mortars on the other team, you're pretty screwed unless you keep moving or have enough mortars to keep 'em suppressed, or take down the MAV.

Sniping in an objective based game is like shooting fish in a barrel. You always know people will be moving around trying to take objectives. Most snipers are not even remotely team players. Most are padding stats. Not all, but most.

It's fairly easy to shoot a choke point or keep an eye on a flag if you have a good location. Thats why I like the IR scope. Snipers cant hide much when you have those. But on the bigger maps it doesnt make much difference with an IR because they are so far away. But if they arent really good then I dont worry much about em at a distance.

Where I have problems with em is when they were able to shoot down the hallway on the Peak map. That was lame as hell. And I didnt like it. If they were back around their side of the map shooting, it didnt bother me as much. But still, in an objective based game you will always have targets.And easy kills.

I dont like the play style of a lot of people where Phantom disribed it as cheap kills. Which it is for the most part. No sportsmanship in that.

This game is about teamplay, but in the world we live in, selfishness abounds. And it shows up in the game. I rather win the game than have a positive K/D ratio. Of which I have negative often. But we win the game so I'm happy.

It is what it is. Everyone knows how I feel about snipers so I havent said too much in this game. There are better ways to counter them in this game than in BC2. But I also feel like snipin is just the lazy mans way to play the game. Along with being selfish if someone is just sitting on a hillside 400m out and not doing much. A lot of em should just go back to playin Cod.

ps: I think my sniper score is a little over 1000 pts.

+1 ... i used recon for the spawn beacons. I think I have tried shooting the rifle 3 times (maybe)Even had to ask this week how to steady the rifle.

I think he means that CoD is much more a solitary player's game where BF3's winning depends a whole lot more on team play.

lol bull crap. Cobalt should played CTF on any cod game and he will see teamwork. Give TDM a try on BF3 and he will see its the same TDM running around as in cod

I don't play CoD so I have no clue ;P Last time I played was MW2 and it definitely didn't reward team play over solitary play like BF does. But that was a long time ago.

You are until a certain distance, unless you are using a silenced weapon.

Lets say you kill a teammate, unsuppressed, around a corner from me. I then see that you are close to me and which direction you are facing. Makes you pay attention to your minimap a bit more

Same goes for mortars too, the second you fire you show up on basically everyone's minimap for a LONG ways away.

You can recon all you want....some one with theral optics in a chopper tank or what ever is gonna own you ...no matter what class you are you cant hide from heat source ....mmmhhh CHOPPER !!!! loven
